Harnessing Intuition: Lessons from a New Moon

Note: I am a few days late with this report due to Thanksgiving’s hubbub.

Sagittarius New Moon and Sun, with Libra Rising, sends us some fiery energy to conquer our fears, realign our mental state, with some rebalancing, recalibrating, and soothing energy. Just take that in! Rest and take in what is happening. With the Part of Fortune right on the horizon conjunct the South Node, (which harks back to the founding of this country) we are being asked, what do we value, hold sacred? What brings good fortune into our lives? How do we share that idea with others, and project that into the world? Isn’t that the true seed of the idea of democracy, to help those less fortunate than ourselves achieve self-determination and freedom from the yoke of oppression? Yet we have been operating in a system of Patriarchy that is inherently oppressive and designed to override self-determination. So that seed of an idea, the right to human dignity, is rising up in this moment to have a word. We have not been able to fulfill the promise of democracy in a system that doesn’t allow it, try as we might. Our own country has been broken by corruption and misogyny. We have all been disconnected from the earth, each other, what is real, what is spiritual, and what is false, what is real. We are forgetting to go inside and connect with ourselves. That is where the answer lies. Let’s dig in. 

Uranus trines Venus and Ceres all in earth signs (plus a dash of Pluto in Air)…innovations and unusual ways of looking at things, especially around our origin story as a people will begin to emerge. So many religions were formed around an origin story, so many movements as well. These are stories that we are conditioned to cling to. Letting go and diving deep around this will open up new resilience. What about our origin stories needs to be revisited and rewritten? Our family of origin story, our chosen family story. Also, the human story. New information will come to light that challenges our view of not only where we come from, but where we are headed. One more step in the freedom from patriarchal thought. And an elevation of the way we connect to the divine sentient being we call Earth. How we make choices now, will reshape how we face the many challenges ahead of us, especially how we navigate a changing planet. How we grow food, where we live, where we get water. All of that. How we care for each other is based upon the interconnectedness of our origin story. Also know our ancestors handled many changing climate eras. We can draw on their strength.

I want to speak a little bit about intuition. We must trust our intuitive gifts right now. How we take action, based on our intuition, that inner voice that is trying to get our attention, matters now. We will be given opportunities to come together with others who are moved the same way we are to hold the moral and ethical road ahead. If you see something, say something, takes on a new meaning. Speak up. Make your voice heard. This applies to work as well. The downloads right now are happening at lightning speed. Channel that into action, creativity, and joy. Keep an open heart, and an open mind. It matters. Grounded in the reality that change is inevitable, get ready for it. It’s only painful if you resist. Be ahead of the game and practice going with the flow. It will serve you as this thing rolls along.

There is tension between deep understanding and action. We will have to practice balancing, which one is more important, diving deeply into the psychology of the notion of home and place, and country, vs actions that will influence others in your milieu, maybe prematurely. So there will be a lot of missteps, blunders, and false starts, let them just roll by. Don’t get alarmed, dismantling them is part of the process. Yes, it’s a lot of work, but remember, it’s work for those trying to get us riled up as well. Keep at it till critical mass is reached. Just look at what happened in South Korea yesterday, and you can get an idea of what can happen.

One thing I would like to leave you all with. With the Part of Fortune exactly on this Libra rising, this lunation has great impact not only on what we value, but also how we build our good luck. I would say it is a fortunate sign, a good omen. Over the next 2 weeks, pay attention to the way you hold your intentions for yourself, your family, your communities, your cities, and your countries. Intention has a lot of influence until the Full Moon on December 15th, which is a building energy. Take time each day to really plumb the depths of what intention you hold for the various parts of your life. What do you want to create? Take a step each day to act on your intuitions, your feelings, and your intentions. What do you want to manifest? What would bring more fun, more freedom and more knowledge into your life? Make a prayer or intention about this and say it every day. It might change and shift as you feel into it, so it is not a static thing. Let it evolve, but just do it. See what happens. 

That’s my new motto by the way…See what happens. That is how I am approaching the nonsense, the disconnected parts, the uncomfortable feelings, the anxiety, the emotionality. Let’s just see what happens, gives me room to not get pulled in, to remain neutral, and to plan my next move from a strategic place, not reactionary. Noise is just noise. Let it just roar and be snarky. I am choosing to be in my heart, to just love humanity as we watch the pieces of a long-held system start to crumble and step out of the way. In that way I can be a helper, a midwife rather than pulling the baby out, let the natural process of birth happen. The birth canal is the most squeezy, pressured, yucky place to be, but it also massages the heart, the organs, and the nervous system of a baby as it passes through that too small opening. Readying the baby to function outside the mother. We gotta let that happen. We have no idea of what is next, but let’s come at that with creativity, innovation, and excitement. Change is coming, and we will be shown what to do. 

And FYI, there is a Blue New Moon at the end of the month, and extra hit of lunar grace holding us all with much love. Until the Full Moon, let’s just see what happens!!
