Taurus Full Moon: Letting Go and Finding Balance

Hi Folks! I am back at it! I took a break from writing these but I recognize that it is something I can do to contribute to the greater good at this time, and I’m all down for that. I will try to be consistent as my schedule allows, and sometimes it might be a video live on Facebook (I’m @cathytowle on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, BlueSky and Threads). I am experimenting. So here we go down the rabbit hole…together.

Taurus Full Moon with Taurus Rising is presenting us with an invitation, I think it’s more of an urgent plea, to ground, connect to the earth and our bodies, and breathe. Uranus on the rising is going to make things unpredictable, surprising, and instead of getting drawn into the drama, stay outside of it and just be a spectator. Look beyond the drama, using Scorpio’s Spidey Sense to see what is really going on. There is now a big scramble for power, and by watching and observing, we get more information about where to play our cards. In the next month a lot of twists and turns will unfold, so just don’t get your panties in a snicker. A lot is going to play out.  

More personally felt, the Moon is over here saying, I want to hold on to my resources, my comfort, my contentment. Yet it is getting pushed by Uranus to Let go and Let God, be detached, know there are higher things to think about. Get off the couch, get out of your comfort zone. And the Sun is saying yes, be strong, let go of your baggage, restore yourselves, gin up before this really gets going folks. The Sun also is prompting us to work with each other, form partnerships, don’t go it alone. Draw support from others. Uranus’s influence here is unmistakable, we are being propelled to not handle our transformation in the usual ways. Uranus is sayin’, heck it’s not going to be what you think. In fact, it’s going be quite new and innovative. It’s going to be a wild ride. Not for the faint of heart. But that might be invigorating. It might just give you a way out of the rut. Let’s be curious and ditch the doomsday routine. Shit got real but remember it’s part of a larger energy.

We have been trying to move mountains, and maybe the time has come where the energies of the cosmos intervene. That old system that feels too big to move, that system that we as climate activists, as human rights activists, have been trying to transform, has been like a mountain. Immovable but slowly shifting. Unfortunately, it’s still that darn system, owned by chemical companies and those that think they can control nature, can control the world. We have been flinging ourselves at a wall that is a long-ingrained system, the patriarchy, colonialism, man over nature. Whatever you want to call it, it has been systematically coloring and destroying life to gain its power and sway. The Earth is speaking. I mean Earth Mama is roaring. Roaring loud. I know you hear it. You certainly feel it. Water. Too much, too little. Fire taking advantage of the situation. Ecosystems dying. As much as we have been chipping away at that system, for YEARS, it ain’t moving. Because the entire thing is corrupt, unfit. So now we get to watch what doesn’t work hurl itself at that system….again. Hmmm. I want to do my best to get out of the way and let the chips fall. Everybody thinks they know better. Did anyone ask Mama Earth? The spirits? Our ancestors? That’s who I want to align with to get through this shift. Let’s rip off that band-aid and stand with what moves us from inside.

So, exacerbating the situation we have Mars jumping right in to drum up the heat. A lot of folks seem surprised by what they wrought. Yep. Now what? So much displaced loyalty wants to take shape as something else. There is angry energy, so be careful. Pluto says hold your horses, I’m about to exit this scene. In a few days, Pluto will finally exit Capricorn and go fly in Aquarius. In July and August, we had a little taste of what Pluto in Aquarius was going to do. We had hope, we had a vision of a different more human world. And then zip, it went back into Capricorn for its final gasp of air and back to the clown circus. Damn.

Pluto gives us a different view of the collective, one forged by our deeper selves. A lot of people have not plumbed the depths of their deeper selves. It’s a new idea to them. So used to living on the surface where we can be entertained, distracted, emotionally hijacked, that we forget what is real. Those people are about to encounter a different energy. Some of them will start asking questions, like why? What do I really want? Who am I? Yep. Luckily, the energies of Pluto will start something in motion. But it is not going to be a pleasant ride for a lot of people. It hurts to rip that Band-Aid off, to see that you are wrong, to taste humble pie. This does not go down easy for an ego puffed up by hyperbole. And there is a lot of that out there. Some will be desperate to hang on to their belief system, their guru, their bubble. 

Flexibility and patience are required right now. Strength to hold onto to compassion while watching things that we cannot control. Be aware of massive misinformation and do your best to correct it if you are so inclined. Have your own mind and trust your intuition. Learn to stand with your own messy bits and not let them get out of hand. Self-triage at any moment. The trine of Neptune in Pisces with Sun in Scorpio (and out of phase Mars in Leo) gives us a moment to understand our bodies are not going to like what is going on either, we must take care of ourselves. Get out in nature, find a tree to sit with. Let that tree take your sorrow, your unease, your feelings of fear and anger. Breathe with that tree. Send that energy into the Earth. Be nourished and cleansed. Spend a moment of gratitude for this moment. Feel the Earth beneath you. Feel the Air holding you. Know your ancestors and all that walk with you are ready. Feel that in your bones. Thank the Earth, the tree and send that into the Earth. Thank Creator and all of the living sentient beings for being our ecosystem. Take a big grounding breath before you stand up. Be steady. Find a way to do this regularly during this time. 

I am disappointed by the results as many of you are. I was not willing to see that we would elect a dishonest sex offending felon, but I was wrong. And if I had seen it, not many would have believed me anyway! Maybe we weren’t supposed to know. Things being a shock is part of Uranus’s energy. When I looked at the chart a few days ago for the New Moon on Nov.1, it was in there, but I had not been looking. Seeing that chart is what brought me back to writing my Lunar reports again. So, I will be here looking at the energies with you and offering whatever good things I can find for you to ride this thing with self-determination and grace. 

There is a lot more to say here, but I have given you the important bits. I will leave you with the restorative things. Meditate, do your inner work, spiritually cleanse your spaces and selves, hold gentle but firm boundaries with information, and people, and know you are not alone. This is a communal effort, and more will be revealed. We were born for this time. It’s why we are here. Midwives of some kind of transformation. Much love to you all!
